The Timid Ambassador  by Edith Ognall  - from Netanya (formerly from the UK)

We in Israel are at a loss to understand why in an interview on BBC, 14 October, the Israel Ambassador to the UK, Daniel Taub when repeatedly quizzed on the topic of the settlements, and having an excellent opportunity to refute the lies that the settlements are illegal, failed in each instance to give a direct answer, thereby leaving an impression that they were in fact illegal.
Completely unacceptable and makes a mockery of the Ambassadorship.   If the Ambassador is so timid he is unable to stand up for Israel, he serves no purpose and is superfluous.

We are a sovereign nation and as such have every right to build on our Historic and Legal Land and if an Ambassador is considered a necessity, then it must be one with the courage to stand up and speak out.  Enough with the backroom fiddling.  We have nothing to hide.  The people need an explanation.
