Rafael Medoff : "Last April,… , Israel's Channel 12 News reported that 36,000 Gazans—nearly 2% of the area's entire population—had departed since October 7, 2023. Some went to Jordan, Egypt, or the United Arab Emirates. Others traveled to Romania, Germany, or other European countries. In May 2025, the Reuters news agency reported that the population of Gaza had fallen "by about 160,000 during the course of the war." More than 100,000 of them had emigrated. And in August, the Times of Israel revealed that more than 500 Gazans leave the strip each month for medical treatment abroad, with the Israeli authorities facilitating their travel."
